Understand autism. Support families. Build inclusion.

Sahaad Empowerment Foundation is a Nigerian nonprofit working to improve understanding, support and inclusion for autistic and neurodivergent people.

We equip families with trusted information, help schools and communities understand different needs, and use responsible storytelling to challenge stigma and build inclusion.

Awareness should lead somewhere.

Learning the word “autism” is only the beginning.

Families need reliable information. Teachers need practical tools. Communities need to understand behaviours they may otherwise judge or misunderstand.

And autistic and neurodivergent people deserve to be represented with dignity — not pity.

That is the work Sahaad is building.

Our Work

Sahaad Navigate

Practical information and guidance for families seeking to understand autism, support options and possible next steps.

Sahaad Include

Practical resources and education to help teachers, schools and communities create more inclusive environments.

Sahaad Stories

Responsible storytelling and public education designed to challenge misconceptions and help people understand autism differently.

For Families

Sahaad is developing practical resources to help parents and caregivers understand autism-related information, prepare questions for professionals and identify responsible next steps.

For Schools & Teachers

Inclusion does not always require expensive equipment.

Sometimes it begins with clearer communication, more preparation, understanding sensory needs, allowing processing time and reconsidering what behaviour may be communicating.

Sahaad is developing practical resources for Nigerian teachers and schools.

Build inclusion with Sahaad

We want to work with professionals, schools, organisations and companies that believe autism awareness should lead to practical support and measurable inclusion.

Potential collaborations include family education, teacher resources, digital awareness programmes, professional expertise, research and future community projects.

Building Sahaad transparently

Sahaad is entering a renewed phase of development.

Our goal is not to exaggerate our reach. We are building programmes carefully, measuring what we do and sharing what we learn.

As our work develops, we will publish programme information, partnerships, governance information and results.

Help build a more inclusive Nigeria.

Families. Teachers. Autistic and neurodivergent people. Professionals. Volunteers. Organisations. Companies.

Building inclusion requires all of us.
