Practical support. Better understanding. Greater inclusion.
Sahaad Empowerment Foundation is developing programmes that turn autism awareness into practical support for families, schools and communities in Nigeria.
Our work is being built around three areas.
Sahaad Navigate
Practical information and guidance for families seeking to understand autism and neurodivergence, available support options and responsible next steps.
We aim to help families feel better informed when preparing questions for professionals, exploring support and making decisions.
Sahaad Include
Resources and education for teachers, schools and communities.
Our focus is on practical inclusion — clearer communication, preparation, understanding sensory needs, allowing processing time and recognising that behaviour can be a form of communication.
Sahaad Stories
Responsible storytelling and public education designed to challenge misconceptions about autism and neurodivergence.
We want people to be represented with dignity, accuracy and respect — not pity.
Partnerships
Meaningful change requires collaboration.Sahaad wants to work with families, professionals, schools, organisations, researchers and companies that share our commitment to practical and measurable inclusion.
Building responsibly
Sahaad is entering a renewed phase of development.
We are building carefully and will not exaggerate the scale or impact of our work.
As programmes develop, we will publish information about our activities, partnerships, governance and results.
